IFR iJoist Flange Reinforcer Repair Kit

The IFR series of iJoist Flange Reinforcers are designed to strengthen structurally compromised iJoist Flanges by wrapping 10 gauge (.135") galvanized steel around iJoist flange and securing with a series of structural fasteners. IFR's can be used on one or both sides. There is no stronger fix. Each kit includes fasteners, pilot drill bit, and T-25 Torx Driver.

IFR's match your iJoist flange to web offset and flange thickness in order to wrap around your iJoist flange. So determining the correct size to order can be done quickly and easily.

Determining which size to order is a matter of measuring your iJoist Flange to Web Offset, You Flange thickness, and deciding which length IFR is best for your repair. Generally, it's always best to use the longest IFR available (48"), but there are often space restrictions.

Measuring iJoists for Correct IFR Fit

Engineered iJoist manufacturers typically conform to industry standard sizes. Our patented steel IFR wrap around engineered iJoist flanges in order to strengthen compromised iJoists. 1. Measure Flange to Web Offset - Lay tape on top of lower flange, measure from web to edge of flange. Measurements listed are typical industry standard.

2. Measure Flange Thickness - Measure the thickness of either the top of or bottom flange. Note: 1.5” is most common. Measurements listed are typical industry standard.
