2x DNR Deep Notch Floor Joist Reinforcer Repair Kit (2x12, 2x10, 2x8, 2x6)

The Skyline DNR Deep Notch Joist Reinforcer Repair Kit (Patent Pending) consists of two interlocking G90 Galvanized steel plates. Restores the strength of Floor Joists that have been compromised by large notch cuts from the top (compressions) or bottom (compression) of the joist down.

The DNR Kit allows for the passage of plumbing, electrical, or other utilities. All fasteners and T25 Torx driver and drill bit for drilling pilot holes are included in the kit.

Notch Sizes:
2x10 (1.5" x 9.25 x 23.75) - Notch can up to 6" wide x 7.5" high
2x8 (1.5" x 7.25 x 23.75) - Notch can be up to 6" wide x 5.5" high
2x6 (1.5" x 5.5 x 23.75) - Notch can be up to 6" wide x 4.0" high

Without Joist Reinforcer:
1. Notches are only allowed in the first 1/3 from each end of the Joist.
2. Notch depth cannot exceed 1/6th of the depth of the Joist.
3. Notch width cannot exceed 1/3rd of the depth of the Joist.

With a Joist Reinforcer:
1. Notches can be placed anywhere along the length of the Joist up to 12" from supporting members.
2. Notches can be up to 4" deep on a 2x6", 2x8", on 2x10's and 2x12's.
3. Notches can be up to 6" wide.
